Question: I have heard from my wife that Biovitrum is considering (or has decided to) stop production of Kineret upon its acquisition from Amgen. My 12-year-old daughter is part of an NIH clinical study on a rare syndrome called NOMID (aka CINCA). She is being treated with Kineret, and quite frankly, Kineret is keeping her alive. I greatly fear that stopping production of this drug will kill her. I would sincerely appreciate your comments on this issue as soon as possible.
Answer: Dear Mr. D, I’m truly sorry for not having responded to you until now but this message did not reach me due to technical failure. Biovitrum is an ethical company and I can assure you that what your wife have heard is completely wrong. We feel proud of helping patients in great need for a better life and we will continue to supply Kineret. Best regards, MN
Question: Dear Dr. Nicklasson, Being a fast growing global company and successfully acquiring/licensing three niche products from Amgen for global rights, if Biovitrum has plan and schedule to enter the emerging Asian market by itself?
Answer: Dear Sir, thanks for sending me this note. Biovitrum intends to access the emerging Asian markets via business partners. Best regards, MN

Answer: Dear Sir, I refer to our Annual Report which I hope you will find interesting. Best regards, MN
Question: Dear Sir, Siegfried and Biovitrum are working together on the DPP-IV project as well on a new request. Last week the President of a Japanes company visited us and he is interested to get in touch with some Swedish companies. Today the official letter arrived and I had in mind that I connect Biovitrum with this company. Are you interested in such an evaluation and can I pass on your coordinates to this company.
Answer: Dear Dr. Siegfried. Thanks for being in touch. Biovitrum is no longer working on a DDP-IV project and we have taken a decision to leave all small molecular research. Please specify what kind of interest the Japanese company might have. But, as I said we are not interested in small molecules. Best regards, MN
Question: You can read in the news papers that Biovitrum has bought three products from a US company and that Biovitrum pays a lot of money for the rights. One may question if such a deal is profitable for the future. In what way is this deal good for Biovitrum?
Answer: We have signed an agreement with the US Company Amgen, which will give us global rights to manufacture and sell three of Amgen’s marketed protein drugs when the deal is closed in December. Two of these, Kineret® and Kepivance®, we already sell on the Nordic market. The third product, Stemgen®, is new to us. The deal fits well into our specialist pharmaceutical strategy and the sale of the three products will contribute to long-term profitability. The deal gives Biovitrum a stronger and broader presence on the market as a specialist pharmaceutical company and makes us more attractive to potential partners. By this we will invest further in our protein drug capabilities and we are convinced it will lead to increased market confidence and strengthen our trade mark.
